The Hybrid Challenge

Ever wonder if the extra cost associated with a hybrid is worth it? Or wonder if they're as reliable as their non-hybrid cousins? Or what kind of mileage do they really get? How long do the batteries last?

For the past few years I've read article after article about hybrids that seemed to leave me with more questions than answers. I honestly had never planned on buying a hybrid but since my '89 Bronco went belly up along with the economy and the deals on new cars were just too good to pass up I recently took the plunge and picked up an '09 Civic Hybrid. I've created this blog to chronicle the life of my car. I will update it as often as possible with driving distances, MPG achieved, Weather Conditions, and costs associated with owning the vehicle. Hopefully this will provide useful information to those of you who are interested in purchasing a hybrid in the near future.

This is my first attempt at a blog and my background is architecture so please be patient as I'll be working on making the information quickly accessible.

For Reference this is the vehicle which we are tracking....
